MPS wants to hear from you!

mpsMinneapolis Public Schools (MPS) is planning for the future and we invite you to share your input to help guide our work.

FY15 Budget Planning
Planning for the fiscal year 2015 (FY15) budget—which runs from July 1, 2014, to June 30, 2015—has begun. We want to make sure that all MPS stakeholders have an opportunity to be a part of the process of maintaining a sustainable financial foundation to support academic achievement.
Last year’s challenging budget decisions now allow us to start this year’s planning with a structurally balanced budget. This year’s budget process will undoubtedly bring new opportunities to the table. We are hosting engagement sessions to inform stakeholders about the budget and allow them to share thoughts, ask questions and make suggestions before the budget is adopted by the school board in June.
2014-2020 Strategic Plan
We are working to identify priorities and strategies to improve student achievement and ensure that all MPS students are college and career ready. The areas we identify will be articulated in a new 2014-2020 strategic plan, which will be presented to the school board for approval in the summer of 2014.
Your feedback is critical in helping us identify what’s working, what’s not working and what we can do differently. Please share your thoughts with us via email at [email protected] or by attending an engagement session to react to a draft plan this spring.
