She came back to her senses. She woke up. All her friends were there. They all worked together on the farm.
And Dorothy could see how the world she lived in could be changed into an Emerald City.
She needed to follow the Yellow Brick Road.
Follow the gold.
Follow the money.
Who makes the money? Why does it have value?
We can know this. We can do something about this. We can begin now.
We have a brain, but we need free college education. Our tin soldiers have to find their hearts. And marching together up the Yellow Brick Road, we need the courage of lions.
And we need to know there is no Wizard behind the screen.
The answer is within us.
We won’t be fooled by the carnival tricks. We won’t be distracted by the midway. We know that the value of the fair is in the food that is produced, not in the hall of mirrors.
We will give the Midway Show its due, but we won’t let that slow us down from building the Emerald City.
Here.
And Now.
