Dear Editor,
Thank you for your recent article “What’s happening at George Floyd Square? March 4, 2025.” I’ve been writing to Jason Chavez a few times over this issue. I agree with him on a lot of different issues, but he has this one all wrong. I can’t understand for the life of me why he’s so hell bent on this pedestrian mall idea when 70 percent of residents, and most businesses I’d imagine, are against it. I would love to see a permanent memorial to George Floyd as well, and I like your roundabout idea. It’s been frustrating to see this place taken over by a small group of activists of the last 5 years that seem to think they know better. I enjoy your newspaper, keep up the good work!
