Thank you to those who were present today to protest the disappearance, 10 months ago, of the 43 Mexican students. Ayotzinapa neither forgives nor forgets. It was the government of Peña Nieto!
AGAINST POLICE/MILITARY BRUTALITY FROM MINNEAPOLIS TO MEXICO: A group of activists, including visitors from Mexico, protested on Sunday, July 26, to call attention to 10 months of impunity for the crime against students of the Escuela Normal Raul Burgos in Ayotzinapa, Guerrero, Mexico. The missing 43 students and the six people killed immediately that day are part of a pattern of mass state violence which—as the Black Lives Matter movement can attest also happens in the U.S—seems to escalate when incidents are made public. The organizers of the event, Frente Unido Minnesota-Ayotzinapa, invite readers to consult their facebook page to keep informed and to be especially prepared to protest in late September as the one-year mark approaches.
