LoLa 2015 is back on! September 19th and 20th!

LolaHer name was Lola. She was an art crawl. And she’s back on for 2015! The 7th annual LoLa Art Crawl is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20,  10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, in the greater Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis. We invite artists to register, businesses and sponsors to contact us, and the public to mark their calendars!
It was earlier reported that LoLa was taking a year off because the previous organizers, due to other time commitments and priorities, would not be planning and administering an art crawl in 2015. Well, a new team of volunteers has stepped forward and has already made significant progress toward organizing the LoLa Art Crawl in 2015 and cementing the long-term future of LoLa.
There are a couple of significant changes to the 2015 LoLa Art Crawl. First, the dates have been moved into September (previous crawls were always the third weekend of August) to avoid the late summer heat and a conflict with the MN State Fair. Second, the physical boundaries of the art crawl have been shrunk to the actual greater Longfellow boundaries, represented by the Longfellow Community Council, LoLa’s fiscal agent. These boundaries are: Hiawatha Avenue on the west, the Greenway on the north, the Mississippi River on the east, and Minnehaha Park on the south. (Previous LoLa artists outside of these boundaries are grandfathered in and may still participate.)
Artists and crafters within greater Longfellow, we invite you to participate! We welcome you whether you’re professional and established, new and emerging, or a complete hobbyist. LoLa is an inclusive and supportive community for creatives of all types! The fee is $35. You may register at http://lolaartcrawl.com/forartists/.
If you’re a business interested in hosting LoLa artists during the art crawl or sponsoring the event, please register at http://lolaartcrawl.com/sponsors/.
